WELCOME

The word Exodus means a departure.

Biblically the book of Exodus tells the story of Moses & the Israelites.

Moses led the Israelites out of slavery and into the wilderness where God sustained and blessed his people.
Our goal at Exodus Academy is to make a departure from the traditional public style of schooling and instead, equip homeschooling families.

We want to open our home to serve yours. Education is an atmosphere and a discipline. We strive to provide an atmosphere to create a fruitful education and experiences that will last a lifetime.

What is a Co-Op?

A co-op is a group of families  intentionally choosing to work “cooperatively together” to provide a group setting for their students to learn or play. This can look different for every co-op. Exodus Academy is  taught by other parents and community members. A teaching degree is not required to teach at home and it is not required for this co-op, but we do have a selective process to choose our leadership. Co-op is a place for your child to learn in a class setting with other students. Since your child WILL NOT be able to learn everything in one day a week,  parents are still expected to be the primary educators of their children and the co-op is  there to give you support, community, and provide classes that enhance your homeschool experience.

Statement of Faith:

We aim to serve those with all beliefs, but our Christian beliefs are at the center of Exodus Academy. You do not have to believe the same to attend, but we do ask for respect in the classroom setting and EA events. You may always ask what curriculum is being used and some curriculum will be more religious than others so please use your own discretion with the classes and events you choose.

We believe and affirm the Bible. We believe that the God of the Bible is the creator. We believe that we all are sinners and can not please God with good works alone.  We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, He died for our sins to reconcile us to God, and that He is the ultimate example of the Christian faith.  Our belief is one of faith and not works alone. We believe that everyone is at different points in their path to God and recognizing that and meeting them where they are is the example Jesus set for us. In that understanding, we still expect everyone to be respectful and on their best behavior. We DO NOT support sinful/negative behavior that conflicts with our beliefs and will implement disciplinary measures as necessary . These include, but are not limited to: fighting (both physical & verbal), gossip, insulting, theft, perverse language, threatening, and other such harmful actions.
